  • An Ecstasy overdose happens when you consume more Ecstasy than your body can safely handle. Ecstasy users are constantly flirting with drug overdose, and the difference between the high they're seeking and serious injury or death is often quite small.
  • Between 2005 and2009 among males aged 50 and older, narcotic pain reliever involvement in emergency room visits for attempted suicides almost tripled (from 882 to 2,589 visits).
  • In 2010 there were 7.0 million individuals in the nation aged 12 or older who used prescription-type psychotherapeutic drugs non-medically in the past month. These estimates were similar to the previous year (7.0 million) and 2002 (6.3 million), showing little or no change with this problem.
  • If an individual has been taking fentanyl for even a short period of time, they will begin to experience intense withdrawal symptoms once they stop taking the drug.
  • Ecstasy is ranked 18 out of the top 20 most used illicit drugs in the world.
